Simulation and rigid-flexible coupling analysis of orbiting scroll overturning of scroll compressor based on ADAMS

Abstract: Aiming at the problems of orbiting scrolloverturning and clearance of moving pair of scroll compressor, based on the analysis of its structural characteristics and force conditions, a three-dimensional model of the scroll compressor rotor system was established by Solidworks, and the motion simulation and rigid-flexible coupling simulation of the model were carried out by ADAMS. The simulation results show that the maximum inclinationangle occurs at the rotation angle of 313.2°~330.6° withinthe spindle cycle under the constant clearance value.The clearance has no effect on the centroid displacement of theorbiting scroll under the overturning, but will increase the vibration of theorbiting scroll. The flexibilization of the orbitingscroll has no effect on its centroid displacement, but the maxiumum value of its centroid point displacement in the radial direction is 3.17 times of that under the rigid condition, which intensifies the overturning of the orbiting scroll and reduces its service life.
