Abstract: The asymptotic behavior of the solution for the Kirchhoff suspension bridge equation with state-dependent delay was investigated. By virtue of Banach fixed-point theorem, the locally unique mild solution was obtained. The asymptotic compactness of the evolution operator was demonstrated through the method of contraction function, which leaded to the establishment of the existence of a globalattractor.
